Canadian Women Bring Home Gold!

It's been a seriously impressive Olympics for Canadian women.

Early this morning, Jennifer Jones led her team to curling gold against Sweden. It was the perfect ending to a flawless Olympic performance by the Manitobans.

Our women’s hockey team followed, winning gold in a historic battle against the U.S.

The Canadians were down 2-0 with minutes to go in the third. An equalizer was scored with under a minute in regulation time, and an OT power play goal sealed the deal.

It could be the comeback of the Games. At least for Canadians.

Today's medals come a day after Canadian bobsledders Kaillie Humphries and Heather Moyse edged past the U.S. for their second consecutive Olympic gold.

Slater Vecchio staff flooded the lunchroom to cheer the ladies on. Tomorrow our attention turns to the men. Our men's curling team faces Great Britain at 5:30am PST. And the much-anticipated men's hockey semi-final faces off at 9:00am PST.

Good luck, boys!
